Naked body found lying in pool of blood; Mystery looms over women's death in Bengaluru apartment

BENGALURU: A woman's body was found lying in a pool of blood inside an apartment in Bengaluru. Pooja Dutta, 34, a native of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The incident came to light after neighbours informed the authorities about a foul smell emanating from her apartment. When they entered after breaking down the door of the apartment, the officials found Pooja lying in a pool of blood. The naked body was partially decomposed. The police said that the body was two to three days old.

The police have not yet confirmed whether it is a case of suicide or murder. The body has been sent for postmortem.

Pooja Dutta had been living in this flat on rent for the past three years. The police received information that the woman is an employee of a private company. Meanwhile, the neighbours told the police that a young man used to visit Pooja occasionally and that the two often had arguments. The neighbours said that the woman was last seen on April 23. Due to its mysterious nature, the police registered a case and started an investigation.
