Rates of LPG cylinder reduced, know price of commercial cylinders

NEW DELHI: The price of LPG cylinders has been reduced in the country. The price of LPG cylinders for commercial purposes was reduced. Rs 31 has been reduced per cylinder of 19 kg used in hotels. With this, the revised price per cylinder will be Rs.1655. With the beginning of the month, the companies decided to reduce the price of cooking gas. However, there is no change in the price of cylinders for domestic purposes.

Presently, the price of one cylinder is Rs 1646 in Delhi, Rs 1756 in Kolkata and Rs 1598 in Mumbai. In June, the companies had sharply reduced the prices of commercial cylinders by Rs 69.50. With this, there has been a reduction of over Rs 100 in two months. The price of commercial cylinders was reduced in April and May. It was reduced by Rs 30.50 in April and Rs 19 in May.

Companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum etc. revise their prices on the first day of every month. Meantime, gas connection mustering (EKYC update) is mandatory to ensure that the cylinder is in the hands of the original customer. The central government may announce the last date soon. After that those who do not do the mustering may not be able to book the cylinder.

It was understood that those under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana should do the update. However, distribution companies have made it clear that everyone should do it. Indian, Bharat and HP companies warn that mustering is mandatory because people are hesitant even after two months of starting mustering. In an agency in Kochi with 8,500 customers, less than 500 have been mustered so far. This is the situation all over the state.
