
NEW DELHI: Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Delhi this evening to attend the 23rd India-Russia annual summit on bilateral, commercial and defence cooperation. The summit is on Friday. The state-of-the-art S-500 and Sukhoi 57 defence deals will also be decided. This is Putin's first visit to India since the start of the invasion of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a dinner for the Russian President at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg at 7 pm on Thursday. Putin will visit Raj Ghat after a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday. A joint statement with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be issued after the summit at Hyderabad House.
President Droupadi Murmu will also host a dinner for Putin at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Russian Defence Minister Belousov and a delegation from the business and industrial sector will accompany the Russian President.
