
NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor slipped and fell on the steps inside the Parliament complex on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred while he was walking down the stairs and speaking on the phone, during which he accidentally lost his balance. Samajwadi Party MP and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was nearby at the time.
Security personnel on duty, along with Akhilesh Yadav, quickly assisted Tharoor and helped him get back on his feet. He later walked away on his own. Sources said the MP did not sustain any serious injuries in the incident. Shashi Tharoor had arrived at Parliament to attend the Budget Session.
