Shocking domestic abuse: Man ties wife to motorbike, drags her through village

JAIPUR: Police have arrested a man who brutally tortured his wife by tying her to his motorbike and dragging her around the village as a punishment for saying she wanted to visit her sister. The shocking incident took place in Nagaur district in Rajasthan. According to sources, the incident came to light after a video showing the man dragging his wife around the village circulated on social media.

According to the police, the incident took place a month ago in Naharsinghpura village. The video shows the 32-year-old man named Premaram Meghwal dragging his wife through the village road after tying her to his motorbike. At the end of the 40-second video, Premaram can be seen standing next to his injured wife.

The police said that Premaram got provoked when his wife decided to go to her sister's house. Following this, he brutally thrashed her. Neighbours said that Premram, an alcoholic, used to torture his wife constantly and did not allow her to interact with others. The woman, who was subject to brutal torture, is currently staying with her relatives, the police said.
