CHENNAI: According to police reports, a famous Tamil actor is under the surveillance of police in the actor Srikanth involved drug case. Following the arrest of actor Srikanth and AIADMK leader and film producer Prasad, actor Krishna has also been taken into custody by the Nungambakkam police. Meanwhile, reports are coming out that the police are also investigating two prominent actresses in connection with drug dealing. The names of the suspected actors have not been made public by police.

Police have been grilling actor Krishna for the past 18 hours. This morning, the Chennai police visited Krishna's house and rummaged for about two hours. However, it is reported that nothing related to the case was found. Krishna is also the brother of the famous director Vishnu Vardhan. Producer Prasad has been booked for allegedly distributing cocaine to his film industry friends, including Srikanth, and hosting opulent parties where he provided stars with banned drugs. Srikanth was taken into custody by the Chennai police on June 23 after questioning about his relationship with Prasad.

Police suspect that Srikanth purchased and used cocaine and was in contact with infamous drug dealers. The actor's blood samples were sent for medical examination. The initial report confirmed drug use. Srikanth has been remanded in judicial custody till July 7.
