HYDERABAD: Minister and BRS leader KT Rama Rao nearly fell from a vehicle during the election campaign in Telangana. The incident took place when he came to campaign in Nizamabad's Armur. The minister and others escaped without serious injuries due to the intervention of security personnel. The video of the incident has already gone viral on social media.
The minister was standing atop a pink van with fellow supporters when the driver braked suddenly, making the whole of the followers juggle their way down to the road. The minister went forward in the impact but held his arms strong on the barrier, restricting a fall. No one was injured in the incident, as BRS clarified on its official page that the minister will participate in the meeting scheduled in Kodangal. The security officials also did their work timely and saved the minister from a fatal fall.
Meanwhile, Telangana is witnessing a three-way contest between BRS, Congress and BJP. In the 2018 assembly elections, BRS had won 88 seats out of 199 seats.
