NEW DELHI: With hours to go before the start of the annual session of the Parliament, there is a threat of bomb blast in Delhi. The message stated that bombs will be exploded in the Parliament and the Red Fort. CPM Rajya Sabha members from Kerala V Sivadasan and A A Rahim received the threat message late on Sunday night. The message came from what they claim to be a Khalistan militant group called 'Sikhs for Justice'.

The message said that if they are not in favour of Khalistan, the two MPs will have to stay at home. Both immediately informed the Delhi Police about the message. The Delhi Police has started an investigation into the incident.

The police came to the house of Sivadasan and collected information. Soon after the inauguration of the new building of the Parliament, there was an incident where a group of youths stormed inside the Parliament and strew some coloured powder. The CSIF is presently responsible for the security of Parliament. There are strict restrictions here.

The first budget session of the third Modi government begins today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the Economic Survey Report in Parliament today. The full budget will be presented tomorrow. The opposition may disrupt the house on controversial issues in the coming days.
