MUMBAI: In a tragic incident, seven members of a family lost their lives in a house fire caused by a short circuit in Chembur, Mumbai. The fire broke out at around 5:30 am today while the family was asleep, leaving them with no time to escape.

The deceased have been identified as Paris Gupta, Narendra Gupta, Manju Prem Gupta, Anita Gupta, Prem Gupta, Vidhi Gupta and Geeta Gupta. Local residents noticed the fire and promptly alerted the authorities. Emergency services rushed the injured to Rajawadi Hospital but unfortunately, all seven victims were declared dead on arrival.
