'Two days in terrace, surprised during exercise'; Youngster caught hiding in actor Vijay's house in Neelankarai

CHENNAI: In a major security breach, a youngster was caught hiding in the residence of actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay. Arun (24), who is purportedly undergoing treatment for mental illness, broke into Vijay’s residence in Panayur in Chennai.

Vijay has Y category security, and his house is surrounded by surveillance cameras. Tamil media reports that Arun entered through the back gate, evading the eyes of the security. Arun stayed on the terrace of the building for two days without anyone noticing. There are also reports that Arun surprised the actor with a hug when the latter came to the terrace for his routine exercise.

The security personnel caught the youth and handed him over to the Neelankarai police. The youth is currently undergoing treatment at a mental health centre in Kilpauk. The police said that during the initial investigation, it was found that Arun is a native of Madurantakam in the Chengalpattu district.

Arun is the son of Raja, a native of Madurantakam. More information can be known only after a detailed investigation, the police said. Vijay has not yet made a public statement on this matter.
