‘I too have daughters’; Fellow inmate knocks out tooth of POCSO accused in Alappuzha district jail

ALAPPUZHA: A fellow inmate attacked a POCSO case accused in Alappuzha district jail. He knocked out the tooth of an 85-year-old identified as Thankappan, who sexually abused a minor girl. Thankappan was attacked by the accused, convicted in a theft case. He attacked the POCSO case accused saying that he too has daughters.

Thankappan reached jail the other day. The fellow inmate initially did not know in which case he was accused. He started beating Thankappan after knowing that he was POCSO case accused. Thankappan, who lost a tooth in the attack, was immediately admitted to the hospital and given treatment. The Alappuzha South police have registered a case against the fellow inmate who beat Thankappan the other day.
