Woman commits suicide after killing five-year-old son in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A woman and her son were found dead at their home. The incident happened at Adat in Thrissur. The dead are Shilpa (30) and Akshayajith (5). The two were found dead Wednesday morning. Police said Shilpa ended her life after killing her son.

The incident happened after 11 pm last night. Shilpa's husband Mohith and his mother were at home at that time. Her husband is an employee of a private firm. He was sleeping in another room for two days due to fever. As Shilpa did not open the door in the morning, Mohith's mother informed the locals. They came and broke opened the window glass and found the two lying dead. On being informed, the police reached the spot.

The locals said no suicide note was found and that she had recorded on her phone, revealing that she was going to end her life. The locals said the family had no financial issues. Shilpa was preparing for the PSC exam. The police have reached the spot and started the proceedings.
