Bike, sandals found abandoned near bridge; Search for youth in river 

KOCHI: A youth is suspected to have jumped into a river from Kothad bridge in Ernakulam. The search is for Ashiq (25) of Edakkunnu. Firefighters and divers are continuing search for the missing Infopark employee.

The youth had been missing since Saturday midnight. He was with his friends until Saturday midnight. When Ashiq did not return home even after 3 am, his mother informed others. Following this, a search by relatives and locals found his bike, sandals, helmet and mobile phone near the Kothad bridge. Nearby residents also said that they heard an unusual sound from the river at midnight. With this, the search for the youth began.
