80-year-old man stabbed to death by son; body found stuffed in sack, dumped in nearby compund

THRISSUR: In a shocking incident, an 80-year-old man was stabbed to death by his son. The incident took place at Kootala in Mulayam. The deceased has been identified as Kootala native Sundaran Nair (80). His son Sumesh is currently on the run. After murdering his father, Sumesh tied the body in a sack and dumped it in a nearby compound, the police said. The Mannuthy police have launched an investigation into the incident.

It was some relatives who discovered Sundaran's body. The body was found lying in a compound adjacent to a house located near the Kootala Dairy Cooperative Society. The police also found blood stains inside Sundaran's house. The police have intensified the search for Suresh.
