Aged man dies after being stabbed by neighbor in Mangalapuram 

KAZHAKKOOTTAM: An aged man who was undergoing treatment after being stabbed by his neighbour, has died. The dead has been identified as Thaha (65) of Thonnakkal in Mangalapuram. Thaha was stabbed multiple times in his stomach, and his intestines were exposed. The Mangalapuram police arrested Raashid (31), his neighbor in connection with the incident. The incident happened at around 2.30 pm yesterday. The accused, who came with a knife, barged into his house and stabbed him.

Thaha, who was stabbed in the stomach, ran upstairs to escape, but he followed him and stabbed him again. Locals who came after hearing the noise informed the police. Thaha, who was seriously injured was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram but succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

Thaha and his wife were about to leave for Hajj on May 28th. The police are still investigating the cause of the incident. Locals said the murder was a revenge for not marrying off Thaha's daughter to him. The accused will be produced in the court and remanded.
