Ansil is married, reached her house late at night after invited, finally poisons him

KOCHI: More information has emerged in the case of the youth, who died after consuming poison in Kothamangalam. The dead is Ansil (38), son of Aliyar of Mathirappilly. The Kothamangalam police have taken his girlfriend, a 30-year-old woman from Chelad, into custody in the incident.

Ansil is married and has children. It is reported that he has a criminal background. The 30-year-old woman is Ansil's relative. The two were in a relationship for a long time. She poisoned Ansil at around 2:30 am on Wednesday. Ansil was later taken to the hospital by his friend.

The youth had told his friend in the ambulance that his girlfriend invited him home and poisoned him. He later informed the police. A murder attempt case was then registered against her. The youth was first taken to Kothamangalam Taluk Hospital. He was later shifted to a private hospital in Kochi. Ansil died at around 8:30 pm last night while undergoing treatment.

A murder case is likely to be registered against her. It is reported that a poison bottle has been recovered from her house. The police have also found from where she bought it. The youth’s body will be handed over to his relatives after postmortem. Further steps will be taken after getting the postmortem report. It is reported that the woman had to face some bitter experiences from Ansil.
