THRISSUR: The police are conducting an investigation into the container lorry used by the theft gang in the ATM theft case. According to sources, the container lorry which came with goods from Delhi to Chennai was brought to Kerala from Chennai. A car, cash, three guns and knives were found in the lorry. It is said that container lorries like these are increasingly being used for theft. Police suspect that thieves use these lorries to transport stolen vehicles and other goods, evading detection by CCTV cameras.

The gang got busted on the day of the theft as the container lorry hit several vehicles in Tamil Nadu. Locals pelted stones at the lorry as the gang attempted to flee. Investigations are underway to determine if this gang is linked to the theft of ₹15 lakh from ATMs in Krishnagiri, Salem, last June.
