KOCHI: A drunk youth created chaos last night in Kochi’s Kundannoor area by smashing his car into 13 vehicles. The youth, identified as Mahesh from Anchal in Kollam, was accompanied by his sister and girlfriend in the car. After the crash, locals caught Mahesh, who was visibly intoxicated and unable to stand steadily. Videos of the incident have gone viral. Fortunately, no one was hurt despite the damage to multiple vehicles.

Mahesh was driving from Ernakulam to Alappuzha when the accident happened near a roadside eatery in Kundannoor. His car hit the eatery and damaged several parked vehicles belonging to customers. Most of the vehicles suffered significant damage.

Mahesh told the locals that he had a quarrel with his girlfriend while driving, which led to him losing control of the car in anger. However, the police have not confirmed this claim. Police registered a case against Mahesh and later released him on bail.

In a similar recent incident, Jubin Jacob, a CMS College student from Pallikkathodu, also drove under the influence and crashed into several vehicles. His accident started near CMS College and continued until Kudamaloor Kottakkunnu. Locals managed to catch Jubin, who was injured during the chase.
