Former DGP Dr P J Alexander passes away

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former DGP Dr P J Alexander (89) passed away on Friday. He died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The body is kept at his residence in Kowdiar. The funeral will be held only after his daughter, who is settled abroad, returns home.

Alexander was a 1960 batch officer who served as the police chief in many districts during K Karunakaran’s tenure as the Chief Minister.
