Elderly woman found hacked to death in her bedroom; murder committed by son?

PALAKKAD: An elderly woman has been found hacked to death in her house. The incident took place at Attapadi near Mangalam Dam in Palakkad. The deceased has been identified as Randampuzha native Mary (68). The body was found lying in the bedroom of the house.

It was Mary's relatives who found her body lying in a pool of blood in the morning. Although they rushed her to the Taluk Hospital in Alathur, she was soon pronounced dead.

Mangalam Dam Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. The police are suspecting that Shaiju, son of Mary, was behind the crime. The police are questioning him.
