Foreign woman held in Kochi with deadly drugs methaqualone 

KOCHI: A foreign woman was held at the Nedumbassery Airport with deadly drugs. The arrested is Lateef Fattavo of Tongo when she arrived in Kochi early Tuesday morning. Four kilograms of methaqualone were seized from her.

She was held when she was scheduled to fly to Delhi from Kochi. She was caught when the customs officials searched her bag. Methaqualone is a deadly drug. Customs said the stuff is worth more than Rs 2 crore in the market. Police said that she had smuggled methaqualone in Delhi in a similar manner earlier also. Police said the woman will be arrested and produced in the court.
