Hospitalized after eating mushrooms; robbery at home in the meantime

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A robbery took place at the house of Mohanan Kani, a resident of Amboori Karikuzhi settlement, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital after eating mushrooms. Police have arrested two people. The Neyyar Dam police arrested Amburi native Linu (28) and Karikuzhi native Tony (28).

The family members were undergoing treatment at Karakonam Medical College for over a week. They came to know about the theft when they returned home two days ago. Rubber sheets, betel nuts and latex were stolen. The police said that a three-member gang carried out the theft. One person is yet to be caught. The accused, who were produced before the Kattakada court, were remanded for 14 days.
