Nun sexually abused in Changanassery; former HR manager of hospital arrested

KOTTAYAM: A former employee of a hospital has been arrested for sexually abusing a minor in Changanassery. The arrested is Babu Thomas (45) of Ponkunnam and a former employee of a hospital under the aegis of Changanassery diocese. The complaint is that he had sent lewd messages to her and had abused her many times.

Police said there are many more victims including nuns. The complaint said the nun was abused in the hospital and in many places. The diocese informed that the accused resigned after a complaint was filed against him. Babu Thomas was the HR manager of the hospital when the incident happened.
