Scuffle for luxury car, man hits son on head with iron rod 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a fit of rage, a man hit his son’s head with an iron rod at Vanchiyoor in the capital city. A dispute broke out between the two after his son demanded a luxury car. The seriously injured 22-year-old youth identified as Hrithik has been admitted at the medical college hospital. He is in the ICU.

The Vanchiyoor police have registered a case against the youth’s father Vinayanand. The action was on the complaint of Hrithik’s friend. Vinayanand stays with his wife and son at home. Vinayanand had bought a bike of Rs 17 lakh for him a year ago. He is using it presently and is now demanding a luxury car.

Vinayanand tried to make him understand about his financial situation. He did not listen to it and started attacking his parents. While trying to prevent the attack, Vinayanand hit him on his head twice with the iron rod.
