
KOCHI: The statement of the actress, who was subjected to sexual abuse in a moving vehicle, has surfaced. There are ten accused in the case, including actor Dileep. The verdict in the incident that happened in 2017 will be delivered tomorrow. Meanwhile, the actress' statement that Dileep had a grudge towards her has emerged. The actress said Dileep had told many that it was she who was responsible for the marital discord between Dileep and Manju.
Dileep directly asked her about this and asked why she told Manju about his relationship with Kavya, during a trip to London in 2012. I told him that Manju came with evidence. The survivor’s statement is that Dileep said that his opponents in the film industry haven’t reached anywhere in the Malayalam film industry. In addition, in her statement she said that Dileep did not talk to her during the rehearsal of the stage show and that many in the film industry had told her to settle the issue with Dileep.
Meantime, reports say Dileep had sent a message to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, saying that he is innocent. Dileep sent the message on the fifth day after the actress was attacked. The message said that he is under severe mental stress and has done nothing wrong. It is reported that Dileep had sent similar messages to senior police officers. However, the prosecution argued that Dileep sent the message fearing that the investigation would turn against him.
Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge Honey M Varghese will deliver the verdict. Pulsar Suni is the first accused. There are ten accused including Dileep. The actress was attacked on the evening of February 17, 2017 while she was heading to Kochi from Thrissur for shooting. Martin Antony, B Manikandan, V P Vijeesh, Vadiwal Salim (H Salim), Pradeep and Charlie Thomas are the second to seventh accused. Mestri Sanil (Sanil Kumar) is the ninth accused. Dileep's friend VIP Sarath alias Sarath Nair was also named as an accused in the second chargesheet.
