KOCHI: Three people, including a woman, have been arrested by the Maradu police in the incident of creating a threatening atmosphere by entering a bar in Vyttila with a machete and a knife. The Maradu police have arrested Aleena, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, and Shahin Shah and Al Amin, natives of Kollam.

An investigation is underway for the other two members of the gang. Aleena is said to be a serial actress. The three were arrested on a complaint filed by the bar staff. A five-member gang that arrived at the bar on Friday evening got into a verbal argument with a middle-aged man. When it escalated into a fight, the bar staff intervened. The gang did not comply, despite requests to quell the conflict. The gang assaulted the bar staff, resulting in a gang attack.

The gang, which had gone out after being beaten, returned with weapons at night and created a panic by holding a bar employee at knifepoint and beating him up. The three members of the gang who were beaten up were arrested the next day when they went to a private hospital for treatment. The complaint against them is that they came to the bar twice and unleashed violence and beat up the employees. CCTV footage of the gang entering the bar has also been released.
