KOCHI: The Special Investigation Team probing the atrocities in the film industry has registered two more cases. The cases registered at Kochi Info Park station and Kozhikode Elathur station were handed over. The case has been registered on the complaint of a junior hairstylist.

A case has been registered against four persons, including two women, based on an incident that took place at a shooting location in Elathur in February 2022. According to the complaint, two crew members had said obscene things at the shooting location and when the issue was reported to the office-bearers of the make-up artists' association, they threatened the complainants. Case was registered against the women office bearers based on this.

All the important cases are being investigated by senior women officers of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the ordeal faced by women in the film industry. Earlier, it was directed to hand over all cases registered at local police stations in this regard to the Special Investigation Team. The SIT was formed after complaints of sexual harassment were raised against several people, including actors and directors, following the release of the Hema Committee report in August.
