Sexually abused and impregnated high school student; mother's friends arrested in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: Three persons, including a migrant worker, were arrested in the incident where a high school student was sexually abused and impregnated. The incident took place in Mukkam, Kozhikode. The arrested persons are the friends of the girl's mother. According to the police, more people are to be arrested in the case.

The 15-year-old girl was found to be 6 months pregnant when she was admitted to the hospital with stomach pain. Further investigation led to the arrest of Malappuram Areekode native Muhammad Anas, Yusuf, and Assam native Momen Ali. The accused were produced before the Thamarassery Court and remanded. The student has been shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Child Care Center. Police have intensified the search for other accused.
