Teacher beaten for scolding son studying in class one, child’s father beat his former teacher

IDUKKI: A youth in a fit of rage beat his son’s teacher for scolding him. His son is studying in class one in a private school. The incident happened near Cheruthoni in Idukki. Lins George of Pushpagiri Kalarikkal was attacked brutally. The youth has been identified as Sarath Sasi of Pushpagiri Makkal. Lins had taught Sarath earlier.

Sarath, who was drunk reached Lins house along with his friend. As soon as he reached there, he shouted saying who beat my son and then called Lins out of his house and attacked him brutally. Lins was attacked in front of his wife and children. They tried to prevent the attack but failed. Lins developed uneasiness and was first taken to Thankamani Cooperative Hospital and later shifted him to Idukki Medical College. Reports said that his condition is not serious.

The police have registered a case against Sarath. A case has not been registered against his friend who accompanied him. The Thankamani police said that after a detailed investigation, further steps will be taken. Sarath has not been arrested. It is being investigated whether scolding his son is the sole reason for the attack.
