Thiruvalla spa gangrape case: Two accused surrender at police station, all accused arrested

THIRUVALLA: Two more accused have surrendered in the case in which a young woman was allegedly gang-raped for refusing to pay extortion money at a spa in Manjadi, Thiruvalla. The accused, Kiran and Sajin, who had been absconding, appeared at the police station and surrendered. With this, all the accused in the case are now in police custody.

Earlier, the fourth accused, Prashobh (alias Rokkan, 26), a native of Chumathra, Thiruvalla, was arrested. He was taken into custody by a special police team from Ranni. The main accused in the case is Subin Alexander Chacko (29), also known as Marana Subin, a KAAPA case accused from Kuttapuzha. The other accused arrested earlier are Berlin Das (38) and Varun Kumar (36).

The incident took place around 3.30 pm on the first of this month when the group reached the spa and allegedly assaulted the woman. Police said the main accused attacked the spa employee for refusing to pay extortion money.
