Woman living alone tied up, gagged and robbed of gold ornaments

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An old woman who lives alone in a rented house was gagged, tied up and robbed of her gold. The incident happened at Ulloor in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident happened last night at around 8:30 pm. The woman was staying alone in Akkulam Lane. Her gold ring and her chain was stolen.

The police, following the complaint of the woman, have arrested the accused after examining the CCTV footage. The accused is Madhu, an employee of a shop near her residence. The accused initially did not confess to the crime. An investigation conducted later recovered the money obtained from selling the stolen gold. During subsequent interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime early this morning. Madhu's arrest was recorded.
