KOCHI: A woman confronted and caught a Military Class IV employee who allegedly groped her while she was boarding a train at Ernakulam North Railway Station. The accused, Sajeev (30) of Thiruvananthapuram, attempted to flee when questioned, but passengers and the Railway Police detained him. He was later arrested.

The incident occurred around 3.30 p.m. on Saturday and came to public attention after the woman posted a video of the encounter on Facebook and other social media platforms.

The complainant, a YouTuber from Kasaragod who is studying in Ernakulam, was boarding the general compartment of the Pune Express to travel to Thrissur. Sajeev, who had stepped off the train, allegedly groped her while asking her to “move aside.”

Reacting immediately, the woman grabbed his hand and shouted for help. The accused tried to escape but was restrained by people on the platform and handed over to the Railway Police. Police said Sajeev appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. He was arrested based on the woman’s complaint.
