Youth arrested for online fraud, 22-year-old accused has 13 luxurious houses, acres of coal mine in Jharkhand

IRINJALAKUDA: A youth was arrested for extorting a huge amount through online fraud. The arrested is Ajit Kumar Mandali (22), a native of Dhanbad in Jharkhand. The incident related to the case happened in October 2021.

A native of Irinjalakuda got a message saying that she needs to update her KYC details through the link as her SBI account was blocked. After clicking on the link, she got a site that looked like the site of SBI. She updated all her information on the website. When the OTP came, she gave that also. With this, she lost almost Rs 40,000.

The police arrested the youth after collecting the information of the link that came to the complainant and monitoring it for almost a year. The accused used more than fifty SIMs and about 25 phones. The accused owns thirteen luxury houses in Bengaluru and Delhi. Police informed that he has acres of coal mines in Jharkhand.
