Youth beaten to death in middle of road over dispute in bar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth was beaten to death in the middle of a road at Vizhinjam in the capital city. The dead is Suman (38). Police said a dispute that broke out in the bar ended in murder. Achu and his brother Ananthu kicked and beat him to death.

The incident happened at 10 pm last night. A fight between the youths at the bar in Vizhinjam’s Mukkola ended in a clash. A dispute broke out after a youth identified as Shaan and some youths who came to the bar got into an argument. Suman had intervened in the fight. The youths then turned on to Suman.

To escape from the youths, Suman fled from the bar. Achu and Ananthu followed him and beat him to death in the middle of the road. They then left him on the road and fled from the place. Suman was rushed to the hospital by the people in the car that passed by, but he had lost his life by then. The brothers and their friends Suryajith and Krishna Prasad, were taken into custody by the Vizhinjam police.
