Youth found murdered in house; female friend’s husband in custody

PALAKKAD: One has been taken into custody after a youth was found murdered at home. The dead is Santhosh (42), son of late Marimuthu at Kozhinjampara in Palakkad. Police believe that Santhosh, who was living alone was beaten to death. The police have taken Aaruachami (45) of Moongilmada, husband of Santhosh’ friend into custody. He is being grilled.

Santhosh, a bachelor was friendly with a married woman. The woman reached the police station last night and informed the murder. The woman in her statement to the police said that her husband told her that he had beat Santhosh and when she came to examine, found him lying unconscious. The police arrived and found him lying dead inside the house. The doctor then arrived and confirmed his death. Some beat marks were found on his forehead. The cable connecting to the TV was also found near the body.
