‘One car was in the area for two-three days, didn't care much'; Abigail was kidnapped after days-long planning

KOLLAM: It has been hinted that six-year-old Abigail Sara was kidnapped after days of planning. Sunitha, their neighbour said that she saw a car in the area for two to three days.

'I saw a car but didn’t care much. I thought some relatives or friends of someone in the neighboring houses visited them. The incident happened at 4.15 pm yesterday. I ran after hearing a child screaming at a distance of 100 meters. A boy screamed saying that his sister has been kidnapped. The boy’s dress was torn. Immediately the child's grandmother came running. The children used to go this way every day,’ said the neighbour.

Abigail Sara's grandmother said the children had told them about a car following them, but didn't take it seriously. The children had said that they had seen a car parked near the house earlier. They also said that two in the car had stared at them. Their grandmother said they did not take it seriously as they thought it was just the feeling of the children.

18 hours have passed since Abigail was kidnapped. Abigail Sara was abducted by a group in a white car while she was going to the tuition class with her brother. The police are presently investigating focusing on the phone call and the sketch. The police searched the houses in the Pallikal area. The police also released a sketch of one of the accused. Meanwhile, the CCTV visuals of the abduction also surfaced. The visuals show a man watching the child being abducted. The police are also trying to find him.
