‘BJP is helping CM Pinarayi Vijayan’; Joint business between two, says Rahul Gandhi

KANNUR: Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that there is a joint business between the CPM and the BJP in the state. He was speaking at an election campaign programme in Kannur. Rahul alleged that the main enemy of both parties is the Congress. CPM rebel candidates V Kunhikrishnan and T K Govindan were also present on the dais.

‘Those who call themselves the Left Front in Kerala today are not behaving like the Left Front. BJP and CPM are now a corporate funded government. These two parties are not working for the people now. The proof of that is seen on this stage. The two who worked for the Left are with us on this stage today. Why are they not campaigning for the Left in this election? The reason is that they have understood about that party. They have understood the mistake they are making. There is clear evidence for that. The first of which is that wherever Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes, he talks about temples and gods, but when he came to Kerala, why didn't Modi raise the Sabarimala issue? CPM leaders stole gold in Sabarimala. The Centre has not said anything against them. The reason is the Prime Minister wants the Left to win in Kerala. Secondly, who all are opposing the BJP and the RSS, the CPM is trying to oppose them. There are 36 cases against me. Still the CPM is joining hands with the BJP and blaming me,’ Rahul said.
