‘First marriage lasted only a month, got intimate with Rahul after five months'; Woman's statement out

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The statement of the woman, who filed a sexual abuse complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, has surfaced. Her statement said that she met Rahul after her first marriage. Her marriage which lasted only a month has not been registered. She said that she met Rahul after five months of ending marriage.

Rahul has interfered in her family life specially in the issue with her husband. She said after that she had a cordial relationship with Rahul and it later ended in a relationship with him. Her marriage was held in a temple as per Hindu rituals in August 2024 but the relationship did not last long. She then moved to Thiruvananthapuram from Palakkad. She then became intimate with Rahul after four months. She told police that she had physical relationship with Rahul from March 2025 at her flat in the capital city.

The investigating team is examining her statement. All legal issues will be considered in detail. Rahul’s anticipatory bail plea will be considered only after that.
