ALAPPUZHA: SNDP General Secretary Vellappally Natesan said opposition leader V D Satheesan is sickle senna that blossomed yesterday. He said that he is not anti-Muslim and opposes communalism in the Muslim League. Vellapally Natesan clarified that Nair-Ezhava unity is inevitable and it is not to take away the rights of other communities.

‘Unity from Nayadi to Namboothiri is the argument raised by SNDP right from the beginning. Nair-Ezhava unity is inevitable and it is not to grab the rights of other

communities. The league leadership had staged protests ahead of the SNDP meeting. League opposed the Nair-Ezhava alliance. The reservation raised then did not proceed.

NSS and SNDP were misled by the League. I am not anti-Muslim. By interpreting the Malappuram reference, they are making me a communalist. I opposed communalism in the Muslim League. A meeting of SNDP will be held in Alappuzha on January 21 with the participation of all branch secretaries and office bearers.

Satheesan is sickle senna that blossomed yesterday. It was Satheesan who spoke against me. Let Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, Venugopal or A K Antony say that I am a communalist. I’ll accept then. Kanthapuram himself corrected Satheesan while sharing the dais. I am not against Congress. Has a good relationship with leaders. I am being haunted. Efforts are being made to destroy Ezhavas,’ he said.
