THRISSUR: The CPM failed to clarify stand on Sabarimala women’s entry at a time when the Supreme Court is set to consider the pleas filed seeking a review of the verdict allowing women to enter Sabarimala, tomorrow. CPM state secretary M V Govindan responded by saying let the court verdict come first and that nothing is permanent. Govindan said that we have the most loyalty to the believers. CPM polit bureau member A Vijayaraghavan also responded to the media about the Supreme Court considering the Sabarimala women's entry pleas.

‘The government should take the decision. Nothing is permanent. The government inform their stand in the court. We will protect the stand of the believers. It will also strengthen the democratic content. Both are different. We have the most loyalty to the believers. We took the stand that the court said then. If it says that they should not be allowed to enter, we will accept that stand. Let the court's decision come,' Govindan added.

A Vijayaraghavan alleged that there are many forces in Kerala who want to turn the women’s entry to a controversy. He clarified that since it is a complex issue, it is necessary to listen to everyone and reach a common stand. ‘The thing is how the court is handling this issue. It will not express an opinion to make political gains by dividing the believers and the Left. There is a need to show restraint when talking about the believers. The Sabarimala issue was handled in Kerala in a way that divided the believers and the Left. There is no intention to form an opinion in a way that will benefit right-wing politics. No decision has been taken on taking a stand on the entry of women,' said Vijayaraghavan.

Vijayaraghavan also responded to matters related to the financial irregularities of the Global Ayyappa Sangamam. He accused some media for distorting the audit report of the Global Ayyappa Sangamam and not trying to find solutions to any of the issues. Vijayaraghavan added that a part of the audit report is being taken out of context and the devaswom board has given an explanation for it.

He also responded to the dissatisfaction of actor and former Chalachitra Academy chairman Prem Kumar. Vijayaraghavan clarified that Prem Kumar has always been on the progressive side of Kerala and there is no need to worry that he might join the right front.
