THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior IAS officer B Ashok said the suspension order of the government that has been expelled by the people of Kerala on April 9 means nothing to me. The suspension order has not cited any reason and is not approaching the court, he told media.
‘Made remarks about internal procedures. The suspension order suspected it as criticism. According to civil service rules, the reason for suspension has not been clearly stated. Still, I do not intend to go to the court or tribunal over this. This is a suspension order issued by a government that has been dismissed by the voters of Kerala on April 9. Let it remain on the table for now. The day the next government takes oath, this baseless suspension order will be withdrawn.
Before leaving, they are simply firing at those they suspect as enemies. Since January 25, 2026, actions against civil service officers have been taking place in the general administration department. This IAS association is the only one in India that has taken the chief minister to the tribunal five times. All his illegal actions were quashed.
We secured a final order stating that the IAS cadre in Kerala must be managed strictly according to All India Service rules. This caused great discomfort to the government. After that, attempts began to push me out of service. Several tactics were used for that. They even tried to transfer me to a post meant for someone 20 years junior to me, but the tribunal stayed that as well. They suffered embarrassing defeats in all these attempts.
Now, citing that I am active on social media to relieve the stress of all this, they issued the suspension order last evening. I consider this an acknowledgment. I cannot sing praises of the government. I see this suspension as a recognition. After some time, it will end up in the trash,’ said Ashok.
