PATHANAMTHITTA: Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said the UDF will be on one side in the assembly polls and the LDF-BJP joint alliance on the other side. He was speaking at an election campaign programme in Adoor.
His words
‘We are competing with the Left Democratic Front (LDF), which has the full support of the BJP. In this fight, the UDF is on one side and on the other is the LDF-BJP alliance. The BJP has an invisible influence in the Kerala elections. The BJP does not want the UDF to assume power in Kerala. The reason is the only party that challenges them is the UDF. There are some differences of opinion with the BJP and the RSS. They themselves know that the LDF here will never have the strength to challenge the BJP at the national level.
You may think if there is evidence for what I am saying. The biggest evidence for that is cases will be filed against those who oppose the BJP. There are 36 cases in my name. I have been questioned for 55 hours. There is no attack against the chief minister of Kerala. This is the biggest evidence. Although an investigation is being conducted against them, the BJP is not a threat to them.
The Prime Minister arrived in Kerala yesterday. Wherever he goes, he talks about temples. However, when he reaches Kerala, he forgets Sabarimala. He does not say a single word against the Left leaders who stole the gold of Ayyappa. This clarifies that the BJP and the LDF are one. Modi talks about temples only if he gets votes. However, if it is for the LDF, he will not speak. If the UDF comes to power, all those who stole Ayyappa's gold will be brought before law.’
