THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are some bad faces in government offices who are determined not to even resolve reasonable demands, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He made these remarks while inaugurating the state-level deployment of K-Smart in three-tier panchayats. He acknowledged that many people have faced painful experiences due to this attitude and assured that the government is working hard to change this culture.
He clarified that not all employees are bad, but some prioritize their own interests and engage in wrong practices. The government is striving to eliminate such behavior. He emphasized that people evaluate the government based on its activities in local bodies.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state's new administrative culture, which gives priority to fulfilling promises. To support this, a progress report is released annually, helping to showcase governance and strengthen the bond between the government and the people. He also mentioned plans to modernize the civil service to align with current times, with K-Smart being a key initiative.
