IDUKKI: CPI leader K K Sivaraman criticised the setback of LDF in the local body election. He said that many leaders are thinking that they are the masters of the public. He responded through the post shared on Facebook. The left front must learn the lessons from the election result in Idukki, he wrote in the post.
Words and deeds must match each other. The public realized the friends of the rock and soil encroachment mafia. The left should be able to learn the lesson from the election result in Idukki. It must realize that although LDF claims that the land issues at Idukki have been resolved, still the people couldn’t feel it. He also wrote that this election result is not forever, and if the LDF correct the mistakes with self-criticism and a sense of reality and works among the public, the left can achieve a brilliant success in the assembly election.
The Facebook post
LDF must be able to learn the lesson from the election result at Idukki. Many think that they are the masters of the public. The words and deeds must match each other. Many are duplicitous. People are realising those who are attempting to be the best friends of the rock, quarry, soil and sand mafia and the leaders who are running illegal quarries. This could all be for UDF or BJP. The people are not expecting anything more from them. For the last ten years, the rule of the left front government has taken Kerala forward. The government has done everything possible for them. Yet why did voters vote differently? The public is not satisfied just with bread.
A strong investigation is proceeding against the Sabarimala gold theft. The investigation is under the supervision of the Honourable High Court. However, the indifference of the authorities to deny the imprisoned ones or take any action against them generated misunderstanding among the public. Organisational work is essential in elections. For strong activities, a strong organisational system is required. It is needed to check if it was there. When LDF says that all land issues have resolved, the party should realise that the people have yet to experience it. Definitely, this result is not forever. If the left, with a sense of reality, self-critically corrects its mistakes and goes out to the people, they can achieve a resounding victory in the next assembly election.
