THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress Rini Ann George responded to the third rape case complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. The actress clarified that the case is not politically motivated and that there are many more survivors. Rini while talking to the media this afternoon said Rahul should not continue in his post of power and she congratulated the complainant.

'Congratulating the girl for coming forward with courage despite facing so many cyber-attacks. I had said from the beginning that it was not a politically motivated case. We know the situation in which the third complaint has been filed. The accused Rahul has been expelled from the party.

This is also an issue where women have raised their problems in public. There are not just one, two or three survivors, there are many more survivors, they should come forward courageously. Don't hid anywhere. You should find your own justice. We should think about what people trusted by the public are doing while sitting in positions of power. The enlightened society should think about whether such people are fit to sit in the posts of MLA,' said Rini.

Meantime, Rahul, who was arrested in the third sexual assault case, has been remanded. He was remanded after being produced before the magistrate after a medical examination. The Pathanamthitta District Magistrate Court has remanded him for 14 days. He will be shifted to the Mavelikkara Special Jail.
