11-year-old girl seriously injured in Thalikulam accident dies, lose three members of a family

THRISSUR: The death toll in the accident following the collision of a KSRTC bus with a car in Thalikulam, has risen to three. The latest to die was a 11-year-old girl identified as Abhirami, seriously injured in the accident. All the three were passengers of the car and members of a family.

The other two died are Padmanabhan (81) of Paravoor Thattanpadi and his wife Parukutty (79). Their son Shaiju (49), his wife Sreeja (44) escaped with injuries. Abhirami is the daughter of Shaiju and Sreeja. The car which was on its way to Guruvayur collided with the bus coming from the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, while rescuing the victims of the accident, the locals caught a thief, who tried to rob, and handed him over to the police. Babu, a native of Kanjani, tried to snatch a woman’s chain. The locals noticed this, caught and handed him over to the police. It is not clear if he has any criminal background.
