KOZHIKODE: Police issued a lookout notice for the accused involved in the kidnapping of a youngster from Koduvally. The abductee is Anoos Roshan (21), son of Rasheed, a native of Koduvally.

On May 17, at around 4 am, a group of armed men arrived in a car and abducted the young man from his home. A knife used by the gang accidentally fell in the backyard of the house.

The police have released pictures of the suspects and Anoos. They have also released the license plate number of the car they were travelling in. Informants with details of the accused should report it to the Koduvally police station.

Meanwhile, the police believe Anoos is in Malappuram district. The police clarified that they have identified the exact location and that there is a possibility that the accused may have abandoned Anoos. Police investigated Thamarassery last night after learning that the young man might have been abandoned.

Anoos Roshan's mother Jameela had said that the gang arrived in two vehicles to kidnap the young man. Jameela revealed that the accused were wearing masks and that the gang first tried to kidnap Anoos' father.

The accused turned on Anoos when the youngster tried to prevent the gang from kidnapping his father.

The kidnapping was allegedly a dispute over a money laundering transaction. Jameela said that Anoos' brother had few debts including Rs 35 lakhs to be paid to one person.
