27-year-old woman found hanging in husband's house; family alleges mystery

KOZHIKODE: A 27-year-old woman was found hanging at her husband's house in Kaiveli, Kozhikode. The deceased is Priya (27), a native of Meppadi in Wayanad. Priya was found hanging inside the house of her husband Vijith in Kaiveli at around 3 am on Wednesday. Although Priya was immediately rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.

Priya and Vijith got married four years ago and have a daughter. Upon learning about the death, the Kuttiady police arrived at the hospital. Later, the Vadakara Tahsildar too arrived at the spot after being informed by the police. The inquest procedures were completed in the presence of the Tahsildar. The body has been shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Priya's family has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that there is a mystery surrounding her death. Based on the complaint, the Kuttiady police have registered a case of unnatural death.
