62-year-old woman killed in Malappuram after Innova loses control, rams tree

MALAPPURAM: A 62-year-old woman died after an Innova lost control and rammed a tree at Wandoor in the district. The victim has been identified as Ayesha. Six others in the vehicle sustained injuries and have been admitted at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna.

The accident happened Saturday early morning at around 1 am. The accident happened at Kooriyad near Wandoor. Seven of a family including children were in the vehicle. The accident happened when they were returning after dropping Ayesha’s grandchild at a nursing college in Mysuru. The accident occurred just 1.5 kilometers away from their house.

Two children sustained serious injuries. The Innova car has been completely damaged in the accident. The driver dozing off could be the reason for the accident.
