THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 726 artificial intelligence cameras installed on MC Road and National Highways to detect traffic violations and to impose fines, will start functioning from 20th of this month. The trial run of the cameras were successful. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event.

This was announced by Transport minister Antony Raju during the flag off ceremony of 131 KSRTC superfast SWIFT buses.

Artificial intelligence cameras were installed during the first Pinarayi government. They could not be connected to the control room due to lack of technical compatibility. AI cameras will help to detect several traffic violations.
